Nocturne, built to show the ceiling
Most local businesses do not need this and I would talk you out of paying for it. It exists so you can see where the ceiling is, and so you know that the restraint on your site is a choice rather than a limit.

No framework, and that is the point
There is no library doing the work here. The preloader, the trailing cursor, the way the lines of text uncover themselves, the cards that stack as you scroll and the numbers that count up, all of it is written by hand.
The whole page weighs about 15 kB. For comparison, that is smaller than one ordinary photograph on most business websites, and it is the entire site rather than one image on it.
Light and dark, properly
It follows whatever the visitor's device is set to, and remembers it if they switch. Roughly half of phone users are on dark mode by now, and a site that ignores that setting and blasts them with white at ten at night is a site they close.
Motion that earns its place
Every effect on the page is there to direct attention, not to prove I can. Things reveal in the order you should read them. If your device asks for reduced motion, all of it switches off and the page still makes complete sense.
What this means for your site
Almost nothing, honestly, and that is the useful part. Your customers want your phone number, your hours and a reason to trust you, and they want them fast. Effects like these usually get in the way of that, so I leave them out.
But when a site does call for real craft, this is what it looks like when it is built properly rather than assembled from plugins. You are hiring the person who wrote all of this by hand, which is also why your simple site loads in about a second.
