Every page ends in a quote
A short three step form: what the job is, where it is, and how to reach you. Nothing else, because every extra field costs you leads.
Client work
A local events and balloon decor business. Built, launched and handed over, with the owner editing it herself afterwards.
What an absolute pleasure to have my website done. It was fast, easy, efficient and cost effective. Sean was always right on top of things and replied to my questions almost immediately. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is interested in this type of service. 5 stars for sure.Kelly M., Be Bold Balloons
Demonstration build
This one is invented, and I am telling you that up front. I built it end to end so I could show a complete trade business site without a real client waiting on it. Of everything here it is the closest to what a local service business actually hires me for.
A short three step form: what the job is, where it is, and how to reach you. Nothing else, because every extra field costs you leads.
Pull a handle across a photo and watch the same driveway go from filthy to clean. For pressure washing that slider is the entire sales pitch.
Every service, every area covered, and the gallery. Built ahead of time so they open fast on a phone in somebody's driveway with two bars.
Demonstration build
Also invented, for the same reason. A full small business site front to back: home page, product range, an about page, hours and directions, a journal and a contact form. The business is made up. The build is exactly what a real one would get.
Every page a customer actually asks for, and each one still works with JavaScript switched off.
Opening hours, directions, a booking enquiry and the full product list, all in one place to edit.
Keyboard support throughout, labelled forms, and animation that switches itself off if the visitor's device asks it to.
Concept piece
Not a client project and not pretending to be. Nocturne is a studio site I designed and built to push the detail further than most small business sites need, and to show the craft sitting underneath the ones that do not.
Hand written HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Around 15 kB, and it loads instantly.
Follows the visitor's device by default, and remembers it if they switch.
Scroll reveals, stacking cards and a count up timeline, all in plain CSS and JavaScript.
Because I would rather show you a complete, working, honest example than a screenshot of a homepage I touched once. Every build on this page can be opened, clicked through and read. Several of them have the code published so you can check my work rather than take my word for it.
When a client site launches and the owner is happy for me to name them, it goes up here with their name on it. That is why this page is short and truthful rather than long and vague.
